Best guess is you creating another profile for bridge without deleting or disabling the other one for PPPoE.

Have you contacted your nearest bsnl office what JTO have a say on this problem. If he denies helping please reach out to Sdm telephones ask JTO for his contact, SDM telephone generally knows his stuff first talk to JTO in your local bsnl office then contact SDM telephone they will help just show them the problem you are facing.

@starter It's literally there in your screenshot. You created a bridge profile. You could have just changed the existing PPPoE to bridge. Just let the BSNL folks do it.

thanks @sloj and @supukabi for trying to help me

i dont know how but i failed to make bridge mode work ,but bro it looks easy for you ,not for me, im not a technical guy ,im just a normal users , i still dont know what is bridge pppope ,nat ,however i knows about ping ,the lower the ping higher is the browsing experience ,and for good experience ,ping should be less than 50 ms

however ,i told the officer who sit at bsnl that ,im leaving bsnl ,i just tired of complaining

he immedietely called technician ,and took the status of my connection ,he said ,im really having speed issue,he did something in his pc and told me that he refreshed my connection ,and you should get good speed soon and asked me to wait 2 day ,because their is some network upgradation is going on

today ,im witnessing massive increasing in speed and response

base plan 60 mbps

however im still getting slow upload ,but upload speed is of no use for me

and he dont know about bridge mode

and yes ,their is really some work going on ,they are connecting my town with district with new lines

@starter happy to hear that. Also please know that any backend issues will not be resolved by bridging your Ont. BSNL is very mischievous they have strange problems I too have faced speed issue almost for 1 month I contacted bsnl NOC from where my whole city internet is controlled but they couldn’t resolve my problem luckily on the 25th day I got a contact of a area engineer he was the senior most network engineer of BSNL noc he understood my problem and resolved it within 1hour. In bsnl if anything goes wrong the customer care is of no use and in some case from this forum I have seen JTOs are also of no use luckily my JTO is young and knowledgeable he knows all these he only configured my Ont at first after that I have learnt quite a lot from this forum. Just take help of YouTube videos and this forum in future if you want to bridge your Ont members here are super supportive. @sloj also helped me a lot. Also bsnl is never good at pings it always depends upon your area and the ip its fetching I also used to face high ping now after network upgrade it stays around 20ms. Ping depends on a lot of factors the server the distance and many more but in general bsnl ping is bad bad routing that’s it.

@starter Upload may not be of use to you but upload is still necessary. When you open a website the request the browser sends to the server is the upload part, if that's zero then guess what happens. The thing is you have talked to the officer who might just be a guy from other department, say customer support and don't have tech knowledge, they just forward the issue to the relevant team.

As I have mentioned previously, you might have been just speed limited automatically or they are actually doing some work, who knows. But the part I don't like is they only started doing something when you tried to unsubscribe. The tech guy said he could bridge the device for you anyway but the router you have is old.
