Jammu & Kashmir: BSNL Bharat Fiber New Plans (30/100/200/300mbps)

@CHOPSHOT The first guy i interacted with told me to bring id proof also if the connection is not in my name and told me to come next day. But luckily I found lco there , he said he will do today itself (no id taken). Counter people can ask for it maybe, even though i had filled all details like no./ account no. Etc and even signature.

@CHOPSHOT Janipur , lco are different area wise like Janipur, Roopnagar, Bantlab. I was out of town when connection was taken , so i have not interacted much.

@CHOPSHOT what’s ur area? Isn’t airtel/ jio available yet there? Airtel installed boxes in our lanes last month and is available now but waiting for jio as it is prepaid and can change plan anytime without any issues.

My plan has been activated (Fibre value) , getting 99-102 Mbps download and 55-65 Mbps (upload) as of now on Syrotech. Looks like will have to get dual band router.

I am from Sainik Colony, i have Jio, Airtel and Netplus in my area.

I understand your reasoning for moving to jio but i believe that if BSNL makes these plans permanent and delivers the speed then we should all give it a change because it needs to stay in the competition in order for jio and Airtel to not have a monopoly because once they have that they'll for sure increase prices a lot.

Besides JIo has its own fair share of problems, atleast the ones i've seen in and around my area.

@Tenet You did your speedtest results via LAN or WiFi?

@CHOPSHOT yes I agree. I never expected good speeds and less downtime (also atleast they never had capped upload like jio earlier) . Going with airtel is always risky because they are never customer friendly. Also other advantage with bsnl for us is that in case in future if broadband services are capped due to some unforeseen situations etc they will always keep bsnl active. Same was the case with bsnl sims in kashmir.

I submitted an application for Fiber value earlier today and it got activated just now.

Getting 110 up and 110 down.

(Will upgrade to 300 mbps nxt month)
