This refundable amount is against the intrest of the consumer. Why are they even naming it as a trial? When you are paying them the amount that costs 500 for
router and 1000 for STB and 1000 for first month so called āTRIALā internet plan. Disconnection after trial will deduct the cost of the one month internet plan which is around 1000 and they basically have the rest of the deposit with them until you insist for a disconnection which most people arenāt going to if they do opt one. Other ISPās offer you free router when you opt for quarterly or half yearly plan like airtel did for me without any installation charges what so ever which gives better value proposition. So theyāre basically getting 1500 to 500 INR per connection as free capital rightly deceiving public in the name of trial and deposit. This deposit only gets refunded if customer safe guards all the accessories along with the box which i doubt most of the people would do.
