Hi All, I recently got the wireless router WA3002 G4 from MTNL. The technical person from MTNL came to my place and configured router. Now problem is I am not able to access net without connecting a LAN cable to my laptop. My laptop recognise the wireless connection and shows connected. But when I click WLAN icon at right bottom corner, it shows Laptop connected to Router but a link between router and Globe sign is showing a cross red symbol. As soon as I connect the LAN wire from router to laptop connection is getting established. Please help me in resloving this problem. Thanks in advance Hitesh

Yes, It my laptop does recognise the router. But from router to net connection is not working fine with wireless option. But on connecting LAN cable to laptop it connects fine to internet. Regards Hitesh

Hi Socrates,Can you guide me in brief how to check the setting of firewall or SSID. Also how to rectify the same. Thanks in advance

@hituparikh Which Firewall are you using. Also I am familiar with a Linksys WRT54G WiFi router. :) but the same (SSID) should be there in your router too, you will also find SSID in the dialer (I presume you have Vista) you use to connect to the router.. The name of your network is also called SSID, remember all wireless machines on this network should have the same SSID ie network name

eg: In the Linksys the SSID can be found in the 'Wireless' tab -> 'Basic Wireless Settings'

Hello All,Problem has been resolved by providing some IP address to TCP/IP protocol Properties as my laptop was unable to obtain the IP address automatically. Thanks to all of your for your support
