local operator refusing to install railwire with 299 freedom plan

@f0r3he4d thanks for getting back to me. It is a shame that you have to buy plans based on their commission and not what you need as LCO’s dictate plans.

In my case 20 Mbps is more than enough for whatsapp and browsing, and 50Mbps is just waste of money for this. I have weak mobile signal so thought could leverage WiFi calling.

their long term plans are pretty value for money but not found in all circles. There is one yearly plan for 3600 for 50mbps if you are in WB circle maybe its in other circles too check the page

That plan isn’t in TN as far as I can see. Also most yearly plans is just times by 12. Not much discount.

For anyone planning to use railwire and find their yearly plans lucrative (i did) they are single time use only you cannot recharge them again. Closing my railwire connection after this. ainnoway im paying tier 1 pricing for a local broadband.

After some perseverance they finally offered the 20 Mbps and 2 Mbps post 1TB plan for 199. Required back and forth and escalating with railwire. As it is a rural location, the only other option was Jio Air fiber which is more expensive and comes with set top box we don't need. BSNL are expanding but not yet arrived and their plans start at 499.

It seems railwire plan recharges are valid for 30 days not 31.

They managed to mess up the modem setup as the default password doesn't work so might have to reset it and see if I can set it up myself in bridge mode
