MTNL 3G unlimited broadband plan has a fair usage policy

MTNL has implemented the FUP on their 3G services.
FUP on their unlimited 3G plan is 100 GB.
Sub (read the second last line).

if this is any indication of things to come, guess the time is not far
when they will apply the FUP to the broadband also.

so going by this logic, this is the best time to switch to MTNL if
you want to enjoy truly unlimited broadband.

for smartphone users it is not that big of a deal. but it sucks for data card users. remains to be seen if this is also implemented on their wired broadband plans.

100GB per month shud be fairly sufficient for most.3G is meant mostly for roaming ppl and i dont think roaming ppl wud use 100GB a month.

they have also reduced the charge

i think at the moment 3g 100g for rs.1800 is pretty good comparing to india's wireless services

it will definitely get better as Private 3G operators will also provide as cheap services

you can also use 3G for broadband in your PC so 100gb won't be enough there

but overall compared to the wireless services in india,it is good

A 2 mbps connection if used 24 hours a day all month long continuously can be theoretically used to download around 200GB in a month. That is if you are downloading non-stop 24x7 and the server one is downloading from gives constant throughput.MTNL 3G connections give around 1.2 mbps to 2 mbps download speed on an average. So 100 GB limit is more than sufficient for all customers. They are charging Rs 18 per GB and this cost is much lower than what Airtel charge for their DSL connections.
