No problem here..I got a D-Link DSL 502T router and everythings fine..using it in bridge mode though

You are right if you are in bridge mode and face no problem u r safe. If you have any problem then u might have to visit D-Link service center (for self owned pieces) for a s/w upgrade:confused: ( I just spoke to their helpdesk, wow what a relief from MTNL :) I have been asked to send screen shots of the log in 192.168.1..1 of D-Link + a dump of a tracert command, lets see what happens after that.

It has become a challenge for me to login here. As you know, I have to refresh this page twice to post here. Mtnl suckz:madness:

This problem was supposed to have been felt by members who had D-Link modems. Guys please post a screen dump of command ping 203.94.227.70 -t on the MTNL DNS server.
I use D-Link 502T modem & get the following today (between 30 - 35ms). But I have to refresh this page twice to view anything

yea sucksi am refreshing same page twice or thrice to view it properly. The only upside of this is it randomly acts as an ad blocker :p

I ran the ping test and got an average ping time of 11ms..problem must be at the exchange side coz there isnt any problem with my D-Link 502t router.

Bridge Mode solved the connectivity and website problems

I had mentioned that in my post above #32 , I think everyone missed that :).

BTW if I change over to 'bridge mode' can I still use my Linksys WRT54G WiFi router as before, if so are any changes required in the Linksys settings?
