MTNL Broadband: Internet getting disconnected for 1 minute every few hours?

Called the gr8 customercare and they were clueless about the issue. As usual, "ADSL mein light jal raha hai kya" DNS 59 waala hai ki dusra?

Dumb bozos. Now they will send the linesman to your place & you will have to recite the story many times for them then they will tell you its not a line problem ( as if you didn't know this), then they will bring a student from some institute to 'solve' your problem. :wall::ishock::icry:

Does anyone know the Mumbai DGM's email address? Let's all of us send the emails so that they can do something about it!Also, if someone will be kind enough to draft a sample email for me because you pros would know best how to word the email correctly so that they take action ASAP.P.S. Does anyone know why my CRC value keeps becoming 1? What exactly is CRC? Also, how to do a modem log Socrates??

CRC stands for Cyclic redundancy check for more info see Cyclic redundancy check - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Email id's are mentioned on the MTNL site Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited Mumbai, A Government Of India Enterprise, Wiki in this forum.

modem are all on as usual but when I ping 59.185.3.10 & the reply goes into 4 digits then my msngr disconnectes & browsing comes to a halt. Almost no packet drops. Is it the same with others?? Please reply.

yup sam here. no packet drops at my end too. i tried using google dns coz i tght maybe the mtnl dns had some problems but that didn't work either.
fiddling around with the settinsg yeilded me a bit better results. i changed the adsl mode in advanced setup tp g.dmt( which is basically adsl 1) instead of adsl2+ . and adsl type to annex a/l. the idsconnection hasn't gone away completely but the line does hold for longer periods now. i was actually able to watch a youtube video without disconnection !!!
just make sure to change the settings back to the default when a mtnl guy comes to attend ur complaint or he will simply say its messed up coz u changed the settings !! )

It seems to be "April problems" as stated by Socrates. Few sites are opening few r not. MTNL DNS are not working properly.

Where to do they send email? No idea Maybe I need to update my profile in my MTNL a/c and add the email. But the net is working fine today, thats funny.

Also, since today morning, I haven't got disconnected yet, but my ping results are still bad since yesterday. Let's all post together here everytime when the net goes down today so that we can confirm its a problem with the MTNL server only.

Here's my pingtest (sometimes the jitter is 1 or 2ms, and sometimes this high, also rating is C sometimes, but used to be B):

it happening 2 me for a week .... any solution 2 this ??? call center ppl dont admit for this problem .... hell, when they gonna give good service .... v should have a button off non-payment 2 this service if someting like this happens .....
