MTNL Broadband is injecting ads on your computer pretending it's a feature

Since past few days, MTNL has changed something.

Blocking it at router level causes pages to not load randomly. I have to refresh 2nd time for it to load. Unblock that IP address and everything is back to normal.

^This.

Any idea why its happening?

^^ I think they have changed their code. So when ever there is going to be code injection, router blocks it, that causes the whole page to not load.

If I unblock 203.94.227.140, my iPhone, iPad and another Android device will load mobile version of site with MTNL's warning page where it says you have crossed your FUP.

So once you cross your FUP, they are going to make your life annoying with those pop-ups.

Why don't you people complain this on twitter, I think mtnl mumbai is present there.

i use ghostery on all devices mobile/desktop and ublock additionally on desktop.

LoL..... and I thought this had to do with Alcatel timeout problem....... but I guess its everywhere since last few days...

They have changed routing few days back from TATA to Reliance again....... since then had to refresh most pages 2nd time to load.....

@igloo I have done that on many occasion but now the Telecom Minister has made a #MTNL where we can post our feedback & its been done :D
@admin What happened t the twitter link for each thread/post which was present n the past?

The website fails to load problem is terrible especially today. They are showing "you have crossed almost 80% of data cap" similar message over and over again. It is just spamming. Internet is just un-browsable with the need to constantly refresh the page.

Just as MTNL senses the connection is http and not https, boom!! ad injected.

Admin should seriously consider switching IBF to https.

This IP is a new one
