The torrents I tried were very well seeded (around 1900 seeders).I found out my attenuations are rather high (around 47 for download stream)...anyway to fix that? Could it be router related?

@Ionyou will have to lodge a formal complaint with mtnl.Just tell them that ur telephone line has too much disturbance.Dont get into too much techinalities when dealing with them.ideal value should be around 30 decibels.may be the exchnage is too far away from ur home.i hav also seen ppl whose telephone lin has an attenuation of 55 decibels still their telephone line works fine.also wait 4 someone else to clarify the same.

I find that torrents with over 50 or 100 seeds have VERY VERY slow speeds.
I read somewhere that ur machine is interacting with so many other clients that the ports are blocked and you lose out on bandwidth

My personal experience when trying to DL Star Trek original series
is that if the seeds are above 50..............my speeds are crappy
even torrents with 2 seeds and each with High speed upload connections are better than 2000 seeds anyday

As for that, have you tried increasing the tcp max connections limit in xp? There's a patch for it somewhere. After that, goto uTorrent settings -> Advanced -> netmax_halfopen connections and change it to somewhere around 20.

patch and everything else done............Its just that there is no point in keeping the net half open connections above 100and with just a 100 connections what use are 1500 seeds?

tried all of them,Beta as well as normal versionsAzerus,Bit torrent,Artic........and many moreCurently on uTorrent 1.7.5 for a long long time

Ohk, going off topic ... Dont set to over 25 halfopen connections in your case, keep a max of 4-5 trackers.

Thanks for the Tip.....will Try after 0000 hrs tonight..If it works I can finally have the Star Trek Original series Torrent before I move from 849 NU to the TriB 200 plan
