Need info about the Fivenet Network

hey your ip may be set automatically.......
first of all you have to get your ip and have to set ip manually accordingly.
you can get the ip from your fivenet cable wala just tell him that my hub is not working just please give me ip address and note it down and set it to manually and insert the ip address along with other details like gateway,dns address.etc

Hello everyone.I'm from Mumbai and currently using a MTNL internet connection with a speed of 320 Kbps.
I've heard that Fivenet provides LAN services,specifically DC++ hubs which enable people to share all kinds of data from
songs to movies etc.What I need to know is

1)How to get a Fivenet connection in Mulund,Mumbai?I mean,whats the procedure for it?

2)What are the installation and other charges and various plans for a Fivenet Connection?

3)Is DC++ free in the plan and the plan what we subscribe for is the Internet usage plan?

4)Is it necessary to have a plan of unlimited bandwidth to download continuously from DC++ or
even a limited bandwidth plan is sufficient? Specifically,is the usage of DC counted in the bandwidth [for a limited net plan]?
I have currently Hathaway 1 Mbps connection and I am thinking of shifting to Fivenet (Chembur).
I too have similar queries as mentioned above - so bumping up this thread.

Anyone has answer to the below mentioned questions - please contribute

go to Five Network Solution (India) Ltd and look for "channel partners" section.

3)Is DC++ free in the plan and the plan what we subscribe for is the Internet usage plan?

ya. it is absolutely free.

i guess they don't offer data transfer plans..all the plans are unlimited and particularly in chembur these plans are very cheap.(me not from chembur but heard from other users) Dc is a LAN affair so no bandwidth consumption.

hey guys...a few more questions...will be shifting to 5 net this weekend....fed up of the slow speeds given by worldnet...some one from chembur plz help:1)can we coonect dc & net together ?2)whats average the down time ?3)whats the average support time to resolve the issue ?4)whats the actual download speed you get on net & dc ?5) is it better than worldnet ?6)anything else i should know?

downtime is like2-3 times in a month for 3-5 hrs a day ...maxits cheaper that fivenet...1mbps unlimtd @ 15oo for 3months...but recently i am not even getting 256kbps on it...and the service provider isn't solving the problem for a month now... fed-up complaining..he only suggested i should shift anyone can help on the 5net info..plz

1) Yes you can connect to DC++ - Ip is 174.142.142.254 (Popeye Hub)
2) I have used this connection for last 20 odd days ...so far no down time
3) The weblink (Net Provider) resolves any issue (if any) within 20 minutes
4) Webspeed is upto 10 Mbps
a) Torrent - 3-4 Mbps
b) speedtest.net - 10-15 Mbps
c) DC++ - 50 Mbps
5) No idea abount worldnet
6) a) Cost will be Fivenet + Cable Provider + Service Tax
b) There is some scheme going on where you will get vouchers for couple stay for 2 nights 3 days
c) Speedtest result shared below

Not too sure..but ppl on hub say, those who use routers don't face this disconnection problem.
