you switched over to DTH to get better services.
if they are not capable of providing the basic services. it's pretty sad.[/b]
I totally agree with you - as of now we're the ones paying more and getting less than the others. All I'm saying is, right now it's way too early to be getting really upset about things. We'll have a fairly good idea a few months down the line. We've tolerated YEARS of 2nd rate service & random bans in a totally chaotic and disorganized playing field. It's just been a month since CAS has come in, DTH operators don't have a choice but to compete with them now or they'll be dumped faster than they can say 'DVD'! Let's just wait and watch how they deal with the upcoming challenges without causing ourselves undue stress!

Don't be under illusion tht DTH provider r in any negotiations with Neo Sports.... Wht DTH operators r doing is just "wait and watch".... They r hoping DD will get match signals so they don't have to add Neo sports to the DTH platform.... Tht's the main reason Neo sports is asking DD to enrypt the match signals so tht DTH operators can't use it... DTH operators r just making a mickey out of customers.... In an interview on
Tv some Neo sports offical was saying tht they r hoping to get lucrative deals from DTH operators and if they provide signals to DD they will not have tht.... So u can see if
Tata Sky want they can have Neo Sports in 5 mins .... but we won't get cos they don't want it....[/b]
TataSky can get the signal in two minutes - but you and I will be the ones taking the hit for that eventually.
I'm not a 100% about this but according to my understanding the signals need to be encrypted so that they cannot be broadcast _abroad_. They're not fighting for terrestrial rights, it's a given that DD gets those, they're protecting their overseas rights. If DD does telecast the match, on which of their channels will they show it? Aren't DD channels free to air for everyone, including TataSky?
