well UPS are designed to provide uninterrupted power supply right? and people use them for other stuff too like cordless phones. they are designed to be used continuesly. otherwise what's the use of them being a UPS?

Thanks Susubh. Good idea. I anyways do not use my desktop and my router is beside it too. So, I can use up one of the points in the UPS probably for that. Good idea for solving the evening time worries. :001_tongue: Will try it out today. Thanks buddy.

you should connect them to the UPS. voltage fluctuation can easily kill routers and modems.

If you open the modem/menu pages Device info or Status report
details can be posted.
Photo not required. Screenshots of above will do.

@essbebe
Ok. I will post it today.

@zaman2020The modem can be connected DIRECTLY to the BATTERY if the D.C output is 12V=D.C ( usually 1 AMP)Check Plug polarity ( inner +ve usually ). if the Power supply required is less say 9V = 6V= or 5v= suitable regulators are available to reduce the DC input to modem.If the modem needs AC input above suggestions not applicable.I think , there is an EDIMAX modem with battery back up also.
