Pre-booked Reliance Jio AirFiber unofficially

This requires an outdoor unit to function. So not really mobile. The forced bundling of OTT is also a big deterrent.

Any idea how does heavy rain affect the 5g signal? If the signal is not consistent it can create lot of latency

heavy rain and fogg can cause disturbance in line of sight.

As per Jio Customer Support, the outdoor unit is rain and Sun shine proof.

Anyone got any update from Jio after booking the AirFiber connection?

Line of sight not required for n78 band(similar to our 5g phone...)
Maybe for mmwave band but not sure on that till devices are out.
I guess modem are smart enough to switch from mmwave to n78 whenever required.

I am still skeptical of AirFiber having mmWave.

@_Dexter Same thoughts. In urban areas, so much of obstructions here that it wont let the mmwave signals pass through.

That and also mmWave was never meant for consumer use, only for business. I think
