Just because they are government employees i think we can do a thing except maybe whining to them and sincerely hope that good sense prevails and luckily the problem gets resolved.sometimes i think maybe government should consider bringing in the word "ACCOUNTABILITY" to their system:wall:

@rayofrndFrom which exchange you are?Did you take a print-out of the port scan result? If not take one.1.Mention your Operating System (Right click on my computer , go to properties, take a screenshot by pressing print screen button of keyboard and paste it after opening MS Paint, save it.upload the picture at tinypic.com and paste the link here) and modem model.2. screenshot of your network setting if you have done anything.1.Mention your Operating System (Right click on my computer , go to properties, take a screenshot by pressing print screen button of keyboard and paste it after opening MS Paint, save it.upload the picture at tinypic.com and paste the link here) and modem model.2. screenshot of your network setting if you have done anything.

I have used VSNL for 6 months and I can assure you that the experience was horrific, BSNL is still far better than VSNL. Though I am not sure about other private ISPs....but I think BSNL is still the cheapest of them all... I only hope that BSNL guys will listen up and solve the problem. Regarding exchange experience, I must say that I got a far better behavior from Salt Lake exchange people...

My OS is Windows XP Pro
I am from Metiabruz Garden Reach Exchange

Here's the result of Advanced Port Scanner at 1934 hrs.

Could you also post your result using this software. I would like to compare yours with mine.

Here's the TCP/IP Settings.

My modem is Siemens C2110(I was given a defective modem at first of the same make, which had again taken a week to replace)

I had called up my exchange this Wednesday, the authorities of which redirected me to 3 other numbers. Two of them were useless. However the third told me that my phone line connection was severely problematic, which is impossible for a broadband connection to continue. They advised me to talk their "head". I had called up that moment only to find the line very busy.

Lets see what can be done. I can do nothing else except WAIT.

It seems that all the ports in your lan (192.168.1.2) is also closed. Did you checked your firewall? Try to disable all firewalls and do port scanning after that.

There are 9 different tools.can you find your modem there?I have not found any BSNL modem there. Have to check similarity with BSNL modems one by one .There are few techie guys around here. They may help you.

Nope, I could not find my BSNL modem listed there...:(Lets hope that some one there will help me out....

Sorry for the late response. What could I have done? The connection is so erratic! It was down the last 2 days(& nights).

Well, I connect through lan-card.

Here is the screenshot as on April 11, 4:37 am

How can I ever connect if the ports remain blocked.
Is my computer affected by spyware? I checked my computer's status repeatedly using Spybot Search & Destroy & Avast Home Edition. Whatever spywares or viruses were left have been cleansed(according to the two).

I lodged a complaint again today. However the line is not going to be touched before Tuesday. So I shall not be able to download for 3 more nights.
