You expected a 365 days old plan to remain same, this is your fault, its just not possible to recall all the cards from market and then send the newer promo cards.

Due to huge competition each mobile operator is facing, its more likely plans change every few months, however you should remember that line which states that they can modify/discontinue any plan without prior notice.

So i would blame the retailer who sold you the card, the staff there may not be trained properly, but calling the entire company cheaters is very childish.

No i don't get paid to support any operator but its not fair to do public leg pulling for mistake/incorrect information from mini store.

All i can suggest is You should ask them to disable that promo and if possible refund you the amount as its incorrect info given by their store.

:hysterical: Buddy I don’t think you have read the entire thread, I never said that I expected the plan to remain the same for a year. I know for sure that it has to remain same for min six months as per TRAI rules. On the day when I went to the mini store I saw the plan on the site it was as mentioned in the first option in post #1 above. Since I don't check metering of every call, I checked only after i noticed my balance reducing faster than usual, its after that I went to the site again & saw that it had been changed. I agree with you about not being able to recall the cards from the market but how do you explain the confirmation sms I got (on the same day) from Vodafone which, is mentioned in UPDATE in post #4 above??? Don’t tell me its difficult to change that because I am from that line & I know about systems & the execution of the changes if any that have to be made. I call them cheats for many other reasons which have been covered in other threads also I have been a customer with this company from the Maxtouch days 1998 & I KNOW for sure the change in quality has only been for the worse.

thakns yaaar .. u told me the same .. was thinking to go for the same kind of plan .

they have same kind of where u r call are 30 paise for first 3 month and then its v2v 40 paise and oterh 50 paise ..

With the Rs 51/- card being what I have mentioned in post #1 option 2, it might be economical to check out Rs 52 card 1p/sec if you don't make too many calls in a day.

@ghpk Just because I told socrates that Vodafone would blame him, you have gone & done the same, also socrates is not talking about a promo as you call it. Its called 'Bonus Card' apparently you are not a Vodafone customer or not familiar with Vodafone bonus cards

Why not try this option of the Rs 52/- bonus card after checking whether if it can overwrite the previous subscription. Maybe its a way out of being ripped :D

Hmm Will check this out in a couple of days. Give Vpdafone some more time to reply to me.

UPDATE 27-1-2011

I just received a call from Vodafone customer care asking me (in Hindi) what my problem was as I written to them.
I told him that I have given all the details in the email to which he retorts in a rude manner that I had availed of a bonus card of Rs 51/- & had got the benefit, SO WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM !!! . Apparently he had not understood my email or did not bother to read it carefully, so the easy way is ring up the customer & ask him to recite the entire problem. When I tried to explain to him this joker goes on like a stuck record ‘tell me what is wrong’ When I asked him if that is all what he has understood from my email then I would like to explain the situation to his supervisor to which he retorts rudely again that he cannot get the supervisor on line.
What takes the cake, when I told him, in that case I would escalate the matter he told me very bluntly ‘Ok do what you want’ AND disconnected the line !!!!! Apparently he has not heard of the term ‘Word of Mouth publicity’ as all this happened when I was in a meeting & everybody around have now become aware of what the problem is.
From the type of people I have had to address today & in the past it seems the untrained or lowest quality of staff is put on the job to handle pre paid customers. In the past they would have asked if the customer was free to talk at that moment now it seems they are doing the customer a favor by talking to him. Looks like he has not been enlightened that prepaid customers who maintain a high credit balance are as valuable as post paid customers.
To add insult to injury he sends an email

Dear Mr. XXX
Thank you for your email dated XX/01/11 regarding Vodafone number 98XXXXXXXX. Further to our conversation , we have clarified your concern. In case you need further assistance, please do call or email us. We‘ll do our best to help you.
Happy to help,

Vodafone Care :O:hysterical::hysterical:

He actually feels that he clarified something :O This email means he has closed the complaint, so I sent it to the Nodal Officer, looks like Vodafone has gained a lot from Mobile Number Portability.:D

I have heard these bonus cards have an option for canceling it, once subscribed. (CAN 'something' to 144) Just check with Vodafone if you can do that in your case, then opt for the Rs 52/- bonus card. Don't waste your time with CC or NO. When my recharge thru sms & internet (quite some time back) thru a pvt bank had got screwed up Vodafone CC didnt give a damn it was the bank manager who took the initiative to set things right for me.

BTW
Mobile Number Portability is not useful in fact down right unfair to prepaid customers (esp the BIG cr bal wallas) if they cannot carry their balance to the new service provider. Till that is incorporated these ISP's will have a devil may care attitude towards us.

Hi All, I am a user from North Delhi. I bought this USB Modem from Vodafone store & they told me that soon the prices will be hiked as the 3G services will be launched. The services will get activated starting 2011. I am using it from last 3 months & it is a complete waste of time & money. It is a useless product as it hardly works. 3G is not yet launched and no official date is declared so far. I feel like like throwing this in BIN & sue the co. for such a useless product that is 10 years outdated in terms of speed & performance.
Please somebody tell vodafone to offer better services to their users. This product is a complete waste of money.
