Since there seems to be a few people tending to talk on technical terms, I just wanted to confirm from them on -
1. Whether they are using the Component or the Composite cable ?
2. Do they know of any picture quality difference between the two different set-top boxes (model 1 and model 2 as mentioned in the User manual available from Bigtv's website)?

1. well i use a BANDRIDGE PROFIGOLD component cable which costs 2k, i bought the cable just for BIG TV stb. Initialy i used the supplied composite cables of the stb but connected it to component wasn't satisified,but then when i used these dedicated cables the quality was much better text was sharper,but i wouldnt advise some one to go buy these expensive cables ,a Philips component cable which costs about 800 will just do fine.

2. well no one as seen the model 2 in action yet alteast people in this forum.

Whatever they give - V.1 or V.2 - bottom line is that it should work perfectly without any problem or hanging problem!! I am only wondering - "They have already started selling through dealers but WHY didnt they start any advertisement on TV yet?" May be, waiting for Abhishek to come back from his "Unforgettable Tour"? That advertisement that we have all seen which has been made by "Marco Kalaantari" that seems to be totally completed but still they are not broadcasting that advert too!!! Whats going on?????? Why approaching silent marketing?

I think model matters because of whatever worth those two features! Otherwise I wouldn't bother, as long as both work smoothly.I was wondering about their advertisements as well, it looks so strange that they have officially launched a few days ago and still no advertisement whatsoever... except webpage! Something fishy?

BIG TV may not be worth for Sports Lovers!!

Look at their 3 different TOPUP packages:

Sports-1 (40 Rs.)


Sports-2 (40 Rs.)


Uni Plus (25 Rs.)


What a joke!! (40 + 40 + 25 = 105 Rs. only to get all those sports channels!!!)

They idiots have kept ZEE TV along with these sport package!!! Unbelievable combination and business tactics.

If they have already categorized "News Plus" then why the hell keeping BBC with Zee Trendz and Zee Cafe (and why not in News Plus??????????)

Bloody Reliance. They know how to suck people. They dont have a courage to do a straight business and earn profit. Always making things confusing and we poor people get nothing out of it.

I had been waiting for a reply for this for quite some time.
As you have mentioned, there are no model 2 STB available. Do you believe the model 2 could be a high end box considering that it has an optical audio out, and therefore worth waiting for?

design,true..i wanted both bbc and cnn...i have to get them for 50rs...i'll still get it...but u dont need neo pack unless there is some cricketing nation is touring India....Neo covers only Indian Home matches...u can take it depending on the month..

Yes but it saves 480 Rs/Year. If you not need elite group then Neo Pack is a good option for us. Zee Cafe and Zee trednz is not important for many users.
