In the era of OTT Netflix Amazon video and many more We not able to get 500GB under 1000Rs.

People will subscribe to These services but don't have GBs to watch IT strange.

i really have a feeling that jio would get regulations modified to let them serve at least their own streaming services as part of private network. could eventually include netflix and prime video as well. i do not see existing net neutrality regulations last for very long. not that they made any difference.

Guys, contrary to all the negative feedback, I actually liked their plan since it gives me :

1) Good internet speed for doing basic stuff (steaming 1 or 2 movies / week , system updates, routine office work etc ) and 200 gb is more than enough for this.

2) STB with over 600 channels + OTT Apps.

3) landline.

If I had to pay for these separately , it would have crossed 1300 +.

I have been using jiofiber since 2017.

There would be many households like mine whose demands will be mediocre in terms of data and these plans may actually suit them.

I know most of you already have broadband connections from LCO who offer much more data at a cheaper rate , and hence comparing jiofiber with your existing provider is right on your part. But for someone who’s going in for jiofiber for the first time , these bouquet of services will make sense.

I have applied for the silver plan. Let’s see how it rolls out.
Not to forget many tier 3 cities are stuck with BSNL, this will be more than good enough for them as what 700 plan provides.

does net neutrality reg. applies for jio's own services such as jio cinema or jiotv? Btw keep net neutrality is very essential imo.

if they are delivering it through the internet, it should be covered under net neutrality. not really sure if they can get around this by saying that these services are jio specific and cannot be accessed on other ISPs so they are not purely 'internet services' hence exempted by net neutrality?

what next could be that they would partner with netflix and prime video. host their CDNs locally and claim that they are delivering content from their private network so these are also not part of the 'regular internet' and hence net neutrality does not apply on them when being used on JioFiber?

in a year or two, bsnl might end up becoming a vendor for jiofiber.
my only frustration with that is, their employees wouldn't give a F. Not that BSNL is bad, but their Employees (not CC, but exchange officers) made us hate BSNL. I wish they lose their job and they get to know the importance of Customer service though that won't happen anyways.

They certainly did do ViLTE for video calling Video calling - without Internet - Possible! Even I was surprised. (Not Clickbait) | Reliance Jio , certainly this can be possible as well considering BJP won't give a F and Trai hands would be tied coz of BJP, am I wrong?

they definitely got the regulations changed to get volte and vilte allowed in india.
and i think they also got the regulations changed to get vowifi enabled in india.

Is they will provide iptv service via jio tv app.then 150gb is utter nonsense..they have also not mentioned about multiple tv options, about which ott apps subscription they will bundle..i guess they have just released the plans in a hurry in order to stick to their 5 sep date
