Average Indian earns about 20k Rs a month, so that plan costs 50% of monthly income.
Average American earns about 5k dollars a month, so Google plan is just about 3% of monthly income.

Jio has fucked up in the low tier plans The higher-tier plans are decent.

if Jio had followed the simplicity, I guess most would have accepted the plans

Rs. 699 100 Mbps 500 GB
Rs. 849 100 Mbps 750 GB
Rs. 1299 250 Mbps 1000 GB
Rs. 2499 500 Mbps 1500 GB ( This is already the case if you include extra GB on offer, which will become permanent in the future I believe)
Rs. 3999 1 Gbps 2500 GB (again its already there)
Rs. 8499 1 Gbps 5000 GB (already present)

On pan India basis, criticism of these kinds of plans would be harsh imo, but what they have opted for now is laughable.

There's a huge gap between 1299 and 2499 plans. Ideally 1599 and 1999 plans should be there as well. Maybe 250 gb and higher FUPs.

Just called jio customer care..i asked them to disconnect the service and initiate refund process.he politely said,sir ham samajh rahe plans ko lekar aap log naaraz hain.we r seeing every reaction in social media.we will be updating the plans very shortly.till then we r not going to charge you...our team is working on it ...

So it seems that they have taken those negative comments seriously..and they r going to either update those plans or come up with new plans..till then he said we wont charge ....

Seems sensible..abhi bhi mauka hai sudhar jaye to baat ban jayegi.

After much thought, i might just stick to the monthly Silver plan. All other benefits (3 month OTT Subscription) is still valid for monthly plans. No point subscribing the 3 month plan for just 25% data(50GB). The 3 month benefits look more real in gold+ plans. I just don't see a value of paying 3K in advance for just 150GB additional data. Although, still at the fence but i can manage in 400GB (200+200)data for the next 6 months.

Exactly, I wanted to show this comparision because they claimed to be offering broadband at 1/10th of global rates.
