Defy is the best phone on android i have seen. rooted ... tried all custome roms from 2.1 to 4.2 and it works best in all flavors.But original stock rom still beats all roms.

Really? I never liked the feel of moto roms. Was pretty happy with cm7 and then Cm 10.

its an emmc patch .. CM 10.1 included this fix , but no one is for sure knows that this is the real deal.

Read about it a little. Apparently a few kernels and recoveries is what it says should fix it.
Flashed a new kernel and a new recovery. Let's see.

I am yet to flash , just waiting for Viking or others to implement it within their ROMs or make their ROMs compatible.CM developers included this SDS fix in their nightlies , does that mean they went through the codes ? If thats so we can know what kind of changes were made to emmc ?

What do I need to be "Safe"?

Do I need any particular Bootloader? No - There is no evidence to suggest this fixes anything
Do I need an Update 7 fix Based Kernel? Yes - Kernel is where the fix is
Do I need any particular ROM? No - The Kernel is where the fix is
Do I need a Recovery with Update 7 fixes? Yes - Recovery uses a Kernel too so it also needs fixes

Custom Roms (that include a ROM specific fixed kernel):
These are custom ROMs that have their own kernel that is not flashable separately. This means it is not packaged with a kernel from the "Custom Kernels" section
Any with packaged XXELKC or newer Kernel (Providing Kernel hasn't been replaced) (i9300)*
