Just now called the cable operator. They said its absolutely free and my local cable people are taking the booking once the STB comes to them they will deliver it. I asked them whether we need to any extra charges they said none.:thumbsup:

Just now called my cable operator (SCV)Asked about the new FREE STB offer. She said "yes sir, the offer is true". and said " u should make a deposit of Rs.400 and also ID proof is required, and we will deliver the STB after 15 days of registration. u can give ur phone no. and address and register it even through phone".Rs.400 they are asking for deposit, I know very well that, it is not going to our deposit, they will take it :hysterical: i had those experiences with them. and regarding this offer, this is very good and worth. just spend Rs.400

I have called my local cable operator he said that its free of cost we need to give the name and address to them they will book against that details once they get the STB they will distribute to the users

Plz Don't Rush!!! My Cable Operator (Chennai) told today that in 1 or 2 months time we will get all the channels like the old system.we will get around 200 channels in local cable. The worst thing is All the Pay Channels are available evreywhere outside chennai city.I went Trichy last week where the people is getting all the channels Star,Espn,Discovery... many more 150 + channels for 100 rs/-. Here we are getting 60 channels for 100 rs/-...They offering SCV STB Free because all the channels are going to be come on local cable itself. That's why Tata Sky,SCV slashed down the Rates of the STB...

@barani6600even I too heard about this from my friends. but i ve been hearing this for the past 2 yrs. nothing has happened. i doubt on the same

ya the time has arrived to catch all the channels,the cable tv system is undertaken by the govt from the dominated ppls.We will get the effect in couple of months,and news will be officially posted.
