hehe. surprisingly my current host is costing me much less. but that's largely because i made a compromise on hardware specifications. i was overpaying for higher specifications in usa which were no longer necessary after i messed up in september and forum traffic fell down 80% :playful:
but i also realized that hosting inside india is not that expensive these days. it's just that the shared hosting scene is a mess because of crappy resellers. going for a dedicated is a much better experience in comparison.

SNR some where around 30 and attenuation under 10 is good.

torrent works well because of DHT :) ...Indian peer
Does not help my cause as I torrent exclusively through VPN which route all the traffic through Sweden.

Some international websites such as facebook etc. are relatively better though still very slow. At least they open up today unlike the last two days when they were not opening up at all. But most other international websites do not even open up on BSNL still. Hope it is fixed before the end of the week. US servers are relatively better today but EU servers are pathetic and do not open up even today.

Is this applies on wireless BSNL EVDO as well? I am experiencing the same kind of issue since yesterday noon, the weird thing is only google related sites and some particular sites are opening normally @ full speed rest all are extremely slow. Not even able to open facebook, adobe, mediafire etc... at all and in google results 80% of the sites are slow, it takes them forever to load. I asked CC, they told me its due to server down in my area, but i think the main issue is this DDoS attack and underwater cable cut. I have heard it will take about a month for it to fix.

well. does not matter what technology you use... bsnl routing is messed up right now.
google works great here as well. probably because google has data servers around the world. something that facebook does not seem to have right now. same with other major sites.
i have had absolutely no problem loading google+ at my end. facebook is all lol for the last two days.
