Solved: Split AC 1.5 ton | Voltas

My Sharp inverter AC has a bad leak in the cooling coil. So it's time to get a new one. Many users have mentioned that Voltas is a good buy considering the 5 years warranty. Kindly suggest some models?

Honestly speaking, for my area 7100 is quite less. I will spend more than that amount on parts and gas in an year itself.

Samsung is bit more expensive. They do not have separate packs for window and split ACs (Atleast on website). But they do cover 3 services in 1 yr apart from breakdowns. All Samsung's Care Packs | Samsung India

I would get a Samsung silent AC if I was looking for an AC right now.

My experience with Samsung fridges and ACs has not been good. All of them had compressors go bad in 3-5 years

The issue with my AC got resolved on its own. I think it wasn’t in running much, now there’s no odour at all.

Registered a preventive service today and the technicians were not ready to accept that the AMC includes 10 services.

I had to share the invoice for AMC and the order description email from Tata Cliq (which I didn’t have an issue with), but they were adamant that the AMC doesn’t include 10 services. Then they didn’t want to do a proper clean up of the indoor unit. I told them to just leave it as it and buzz after which they did clean it opening up the body but had a terrible look on their faces.

Will send you some numbers, talk to them and apprise them about the issue. Although nothing will come out of it

I mean, they just didn’t want to work unless there is a major issue or if it’s a paid service. I’ve realized that half of the issues with ACs arise because they don’t get properly serviced.
