So @Nishant recently mentioned this one as he has been progressively replacing all fans at his place with these units.

I am considering getting one for trial before I can decide on whether to start replacing all the fans progressively as well.

Opinions?

There are four models. Need to look into difference between them. The top end model has a remote which removes the need for a regulator so that sounds cool.

Great thing is that it is also available on Flipkart and other stores these days.

I think it wud be cheaper to buy normal fan and then use a regulator which can be controlled by IR or bluetooth.

If i remember - superfan does not have regulator?

Those IR based regulators cause unbearable humming in the fan. I had used one myself on my older conventional fan and the hum was quite audible. If you want a humless regulator you need to spend atleast 1.5k to get branded ones from Havells or Cona.

The remote of Superfan is the regulator.

What I am saying is - if u forget where the remote is and u want to control fan - you can not do that.

With normal remote based wall regulator - even without remote u can control the fan.

Superfan as its advantages and disadvantages. Depends on what you prefer.

In my case if I buy a superfan I am sure I will be getting up from bed everytime in search of remote!!

You can control superfan with the power button. On-off On-off action can be repeated to set the speed.

This fan has turned out to be a pain in the ass for me. The third replacement motor they sent me last November has gone kaput today. I really don't know what's going wrong with this fan in my house. It's definitely not a power fluctuation as it doesn't exist at my place. They send a brand new motor every time and it just lasts few months. Sent them an email today and they're sending yet another replacement, and they say 'We will check the fan thoroughly and it will send it by today itself. Hereafter this kind of issue will not come from Superfan.' :speechless:

After sales service is good no doubt. But removal and reinstallation is a time consuming affair and this is what's bugging me. I've temporarily removed it and installed the old conventional one.

Nishant uninstall and install himself. I have to call an electrician guy.

My electrician guy charges 100rs minimum for house visit

mine charges around rs. 200 but he comes from pretty far away so it's cool. i do not trust anyone from the local area.

Hello @Nishant / @chromaniac.

I've decided to replace all my old fans with Superfan. I had written to the company and they too confirmed the humming noise at low speed. Could you guys please let me know if the noise bothersome or one gets used to it. I would really appreciate if you could record it sitting on your bed and post a short audio clip.

Any other concerns regarding this fan? I'm in a fix whether to go for A1 or the X1.
