Hey harshal who is peter bachela man. I have never heard his name:confused:

This is just for this season only and that too manged to get only after bribing :thumbsup: Just unbelivable as Chennai(only through STB it is available)nor in many parts of TN gets Neo on cable. No one is going to belive this :whistle:

The article doesn't mention where ESPN or Starsports or Star cricket or Tensports or DD sports stands. This article is useless as it had completly hidden the facts and figures and gives a tainted picture.

@ajuravi
Icl is no international. Neo has international rights but their quality is not even upto village level. If you don't watch ESS then don't think others also won't watch. They show live football matches too. People who know football will watch them.

WHEN WAS NEO SPORTS NO.1? that now the article says it has retained No.1 position?
The Essel Group-promoted Indian Cricket League (ICL) has signed a deal with Multi-system operators Sun Cable Vision and Polimer to telecast Zee Sports.

Essel group recently sold the international broadcast rights for the ICL matches to three global distributors for an estimated $10 million. The three distributors are Astro PPV, a leading direct-to-home distributor for the South-East Asia region, the Sri Lanka-based Derana and Gateway, which reaches countries in Europe and the US.

ICL's ongoing Twenty20 matches will be telecast on Zee Sports across the UK, US, South Africa and other African countries, the Caribbean region, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

"Some of the leading international distribution platforms like Astro PPV, Derana, Gateway and Zee Network are distribution partners for ICL," said Ashish Kaul, Head, Corporate Brand Development, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, adding that a host of state-of-the-art features had been introduced for viewers watching the League matches on Dish TV.

The company has recently introduced a multi-language feed on its direct-to-home (DTH) platform Dish TV in Hindi, Tamil and Bengali, in addition to the existing English feed.

As i have mentioned in my earlier post that in my native thats is Salem (TN) the cable operator is providing all the sports channel in Salem except Zee Sports no they have struck a deal with zee sports to show ICL. The cable operators name is Polimer in Salem.

This is just a completely a fabricated report. As Sullan said, it doesn't mention where the other major sports channels stand. And it is for the period when the Indo-Pak series was on. Tell them to make a report for the whole of 2007 and see where they stand... It would be just ahead of DD Sports :hysterical:

more than that it will be ahead of DD sports and more importantly Zee Sports:hysterical:

Considering the telecast made throughout year, above rankings are true, but TRP's change depending upon telecast. Like NEO currently might be highest viewed sports channel currently due to IND-PAK series, and ESPN could be highest viewed channel when it telecsted AUS-SA match with record score.
DD Sports is not for cricket anymore, its channel dedicated to non-cricketing sports
