After this was posted, I looked again at my voice WAN config and realized its Service Mode was set to VOICE. So I changed it to VOICE_INTERNET and voila I can ping the voice gateway but not SIP server. So a static route needs to be made. Network -> Router -> Static Route and do the necessary changes.

Destination is the SIP server address, Gateway is voice gateway. And we are connected.

Things I did differently than the linked post. Disabled SIP under Application -> ALG configuration. Routers SIP ALG - VoIP-Info.

Then you obviously need to static route it. I wrote about pinging it from cmd but I see it can confuse because I didn't write it explicitly. Also WAN config should be VOICE_INTERNET not just VOICE.

The route doesn't do anything tho. Atleast it isn't supposed to.
There's already the 0.0.0.0 -> gateway default route.

I tried almost everything I found in this forum. so much that my ONT hung up twice and I have to reset the do the config again. Not trying anything anymore, don't wanna break my precious ONT :-D :-P

There is no need for reset unless or untill you don't know what you are doing with your ONT😂. For your kind information resetting your ONT twise won't hurt it that much 😜.

I don't see where I blamed the forum or people in the post. Maybe you have extra eyes to see that. I guess you have extra skill sets to login to a hung up device or don't know the meaning of "hung up". (google it!) Take care (y)
