@ijsa, I was on Vodafone India till 2015 and shifted that year (in June) to Idea Cellular where I remained till Feb 2018 when I finally moved to Jio. VF and Idea have the same level of QoS and I elected to move on to a modern network at a significantly lower price which was 50% less.

Trust me, both networks have been screwing up well before the merger was announced. If they die they have only themselves to blame.

Idk about Delhi, but in Kolkata, Idea VoLTE works over Vodafone's LTE network, but for some weird reason, calls are never HD. Haven't tried Idea to Idea, but Idea to Vodafone is never HD. Call connect times are slightly faster, but it's not much of a difference because call connect times on Idea were decent enough already. Running USSD codes drops the connection to 3G, though which is not the case with Airtel or Vodafone VoLTE. Not sure what's happening here😶

Been using Vodafone from 1998 (then called maxtouch). It's been a decline from 2000 onwards. But they got really bad when they introduced volte, they even started behaving like petty thieves from 2015.

They have a store at khar on SV road where i had gone to do an annual recharge some yrs ago when the moment I stated my purpose of visit, I was pointed to a guy sitting OUTSIDE the store & told to talk to him. Apparently they didn't want prepaid customers INSIDE. Needless to say I walked out & never went there again. I did send an email to their nodal office but it was water of a ducks back.

I have been a Vodafone postpaid customer for 11 years, and every single visit to Vodafone store was a waste of my precious time, they used to ask me leave them written letters but never solved a single issue, I never received a followup from them either. Customer Care used to be good at the start, but lately the quality has deteriorated, on most occasions the executives hardly seem to understand the issue. But compared to other operators they are still the most approachable, decent to talk to, follows up on issues and provides me updates on progress.
