Well! A few months ago I saw many

.And we Indians are very lazy and budget conscious.
Broadband subscribers they the ISPs may bring 8Mbps UL.:yahoo:
I hope you understand the point that i am trying to convey.
My data could be not accurate but i try my best to get latest and best census.
Indians are lazy ?
no need to say it again and again everyone know it and it is the default value in every Indians gene
reluctant to change and take risk never give a real shit for anything
never pay money for good service always looking for treacherous offers
that is why we always do the slave labour kind of work and happy being software coolies of mnc's (and never start a business of our own )
and NRI's never invest in anything (only thinking how to give dowry to their future son-in-law and make them more lazy and worthless)
and remain always munnus ,kittus ,chinnoos
8 mb may happen after a 100 year
I have many friends who have monthly salary of above 50k
and never use net except for checking mail and orkut scraps
no one need high speed net or any good service
no one never invest money for anything good
everyone just want to drink a lot of alcohol
drink drink drink and nothing else that is why they living only purpose in life

My assumption is that by 2009-2010, there'll be a new broadband race. If you've heard of verizon, you get the idea of speed.

Two top broadband leaders, Bharti (Airtel) and BSNL/MTNL, have announced and decided to provide high-speed access plans through GPON (FTTH). They're currently in process of replacing copper wires with fiber optic, this is actually been done for with their improvement of IPTV, and 3G services (3G in Dec).

So, get ready, HD and Broadband era have started yet again. ;)

P.S. I hope they be able to change the current mindset of their service type

what use? fu@king prophets of profit will price it ridiculously unaffordable for the general public.

Most probably. It may start with a high prices, but the competition will take care of dropping the prices. I actually think the prices will be slashed from the current broadband rates, + higher speed to offer.

I'm afraid everything is being done in panic now, I *really* hope the services come up as a good thing.

About HD channels and 3G services, well, nobody has a freaking clue about the prices, I expect it to be high (at least the 3G). Let's wait a few more months and see what happens, that's all we can do. :|

Interesting to see how we went from “why broadband speeds are low in India” to “Why FTTH speeds are not growing”

Atleast today’s broadband speeds are very much usable unlike before 2017

This thread aged so well like milk, even today everyone here seems to have the same mentality which the OG poster has talked about (1st message on first page and first message on second page). But I guess we are "vishwagurus" so can't argue with anyone anymore here. 2008 - 2025 and people are still defending 40 Mbps is good enough for a household while simultaneously arguing to get 5G SA with 1 Gbps speeds on their single phones not sone top of the line PC.

"Guys we don't need 5G speeds, let's dismantle 5G and go back to 3G as nobody's gonna use that speed and let's have 1 GB per month plans for 499 rupees". Ohh and talking about unfair illegal usage such as sharing broadband with neighbours with LAN cables? It harms the ISP and anyone doing it should get a business line but I guess with that logic Gas Cylinders should also come with a tracker or FUP of some sort so that it can't be shared with others. It's India come on every local party organiser and catering group doesn't use LPG registered on personal accounts? There a lot more places where personal stuff is used commercially.

It's India and every ISP before starting their business should know the people here, it's not like any other country, here jugaad works and nothing else. People will share their broadband no matter what ISP's do. The number of Right Wing people I see here in this forum tells me what mentality the top executives of telcos may be having given it's in the favour of their business.

And again, if any ISP like excitel starts providing unlimited FUP less internet with 400 Mbps speeds less than what other ISP's charge for 100-150 Mbps (just so we can have some competition) then all of a sudden the same people will start caring for speeds, routing and everything else. Bro where does your logic go when we compare the same thing with premium ISP with 40 Mbps speeds? Excitel is the only ISP in India which tops the speeds on steam charts (triple digits as of today) : Steam: Game and Player Statistics
And yes I do a lot of downloads/uploads and enjoy saving my precious time and money in the process. Having a top of the line machine I wanna squeeze out every Mbps an ISP provides me. I can share tests as well from Steam Epic etc. Waiting for Excitel to launch 1 Gbps so I can stress test everything out. I wonder how amazing those sweet steam/epic downloads are gonna get with 100-115 MB/s 😍. Slashing the download time in half which I'm getting now 😁.

Those including me who are getting 50 MB/s download speeds on steam, epic and other services while paying wayyyy less than an average Joe with 40 Mbps are enjoying it. But people get offended knowing deep down that they're paying a lot more for lot less so they will pinpoint things which aren't even relevant for their own theories when it comes to premium ISP's but again gotta bash smaller ISP's because we love duopoly just like what's happening in GSM telecom. Excitel and other ISP's do have flaws and I will be posting about a big issue in Excitel if I am able to post after this. I would need a little help from you guys here to know exactly what's the issue regarding uploading in bursts like this :
Please anyone shed some light on why this is happening to uploads for YouTube & Google drive. The upload time is almost the same I can get with 400 Mbps constant but why it is fluctuating like 250-700 Mbps? The peaks and dips are balancing out to 400 but still stability here would have been good.

Anyways, this may be my last reply here as I am notorious for getting banned here while other forums value me a lot 😌. It's alright as I've got a really passionate crowd over YouTube so that's a bonus. This forum sometimes feels like more than freedom of express to right wing trying to suppress the left wing. But that's totally okay as we're just members. Alright thanks for reading everyone. Have a nice day and I'm not here to argue with anyone but just wanna say everyone has a flawed argument which indirectly supports those pesky big ISP's.

Lastly, no pun is intended but got a flyer photo from Airtel sales guy in my area which made me laugh... Anyone who gets it please react to this post 😂🤣. This is for our premium ISP backers :

I really praise airtel executives as they might be reading our forums and introducing such plans as 10 Mbps for ₹471 a month 😂🤣. Also who can forget downgrading all 200 Mbps plan users to 100 Mbps without any notice or price decrease. This is how it should be done and nobody's gonna say anything to this as it's premium bandwidth and pings and speeds to international speeds are better on that 10 Mbps plan 😁. Alright guys thanks for reading.

Some references to comments about airtel downgrading 200 Mbps folks to 100 Mbps :

@Kyle Crane also seems to be posting stuff which I used to post before getting banned. Yet everyone seems to change his opinion. Keep going bro, we need to come together and ask logical questions instead of taking everything as it is. Edit : No, Kyle bro you're awesome with your posts and arguments. I'm just saying that people won't understand us and they will all have their own minds made up to things they have considered good for them. I will recommend you to make YouTube videos about these topics as people are gonna value you there a lot more than anywhere else.

Guys I am not here to defend any ISP or anything, I will create a thread addressing all the issues I'm facing with Indian ISP's and telcos mostly Excitel and Vi as people think I'm biased towards them.

I haven’t got the time to read ur full comment and only focusing on the point where I’m mentioned

I’ll read it later dw

So I see that u were called bias towards vi? Or something

Lmao same happened with me in a different forum and another telecom related site ,even tho I keep criticising vi ,people still think I’m biased towards it

Lol

Yes, I'm there as well and I've recognised you with your first post there only (also your YouTube videos regarding Vi 5G tests were amazing 😁 along with your dog as he was also the reason I could pin point it was you, I am an animal lover by heart, more than humans 😁). Even I have a lot of posts there and you have reacted to them and well but don't know it was me. Anyways, can't name that forum here but good to see you there as well. It's good to put out stuff in different baskets in case we disappear from one.
