I had applied for a plan change last month. It was processed quite fast. Since Reliance has been quite stable, I did not use Airtel since then. I logged into the Airtel connection today and bing... It shows I have 30GB allocated to me which is from the older plan. Stupid stupid fucks.

so... i got confused and thought airtel billing was from 1-30. i connected to my airtel connection after a week or so and noticed that my billing cycle started 2 days back. i basically lost 15GB from the previous month. blah.
anyways. reliance has been working quite well. i am considering switching to airtel 8gb plan. not prepared to gamble applying for a disconnection hoping to get a call from the retention department.
i know this has been discussed before... but i still want some kind of confirmation if anyone can give me... what happens if i consume the 15GB this week and then apply to switch to 8GB plan... would i get complete 8GB for the rest of the cycle?

Was checking Airtel plans. And amazingly, there is no plan below 1299 that makes sense. You need to drop down to 1/2mbps to save any money. :\

might be worth an option once the construction work is done and i move from the basement to second floor :D

Right. I mean if you don't mind a bit of an inconvenience, go for tata CDMA prepaid. 256 bucks for 4GB or 57 bucks for a GB.

Latency is extremely good with strong signals.

Else even your broadband provider's cdma network has good data plans.

You'll have to test the speed on either yourself though.

500 odd bucks for 8GB, is pretty vfm, IMO.

Recharge it as and when rcom goes down.

i have been staying away from the dongles because of the basement factor. airtel and vodafone 3g does not work here. cdma might. upstairs should be ready by february. would need to rethink the broadband strategy again coz my router from second floor would not work on dad's chromebook on the ground floor. i guess i would stick with what i have till that time.

are these values alright? i get shitty upload speeds. and reliance is surprisingly much much smoother.
