@Protector, thank you for assurance, but he could just tell the values , btw that vlan id and mtu is for voip . what probelm you had tho ?

I've been experiencing Low speed for Download but perfect speed for Upload.

Not for VOIP, It was for Internet.

See, Along with changing VLan ID and MTU ID, he also changed some other things which i'm not sure what was that but it was regarding DNS and some things like this.

@MEGAN , It takes time to ask someone to check what value it is and what you need to change but if he gets to see the configuration and access to make changes then he can directly change whatever he thinks will benefit you.

Its not like he'll make your screen black. You'll be watching and have an option to disconnect the remote session if you feel like he's doing something he shouldn't.

I think its more convenient for both of you to make a remote session instead of making physical visits and I personally would want BSNL people to do it remotely instead of waiting for them to come over and fix my issues.

@!!pd @Protector thank you , i was uncomfortable with remote thingy and actually remote was not connecting to its own server to give me a number so i can give them my address number to access my computer ,tomorrow i will try again with remote thingy.

Thanks @Protector. I will try to check with them.
I don't even get a public IP right now and the latency in the CGNAT IP is bad at peak times. For few days I got a public IP and the ping was fine.

No CGNAT here at least for now, but it could change as most ISPs are moving in that direction given the v6 address is a public IP.

idk, I have been getting CGNAT since the 1st day and it has been more than 1 year now.
This is the PPPOE auth logs -

remote IP address 100.99.128.1
primary   DNS address 218.248.112.1

I have hidden the last part of CGNAT IP not that it matters much.
My public IP is 117.254.35.159
