No need to enter MAC address. If you have enabled MAC filter, disable it. Use the link I gave to configure your modem and simply enable DHCP in modem.

This is my first post on this forum.i've seen that many peoples find it difficult to configure wifi to use on their laptop/notebook in the bsnl's latest type-ii modem.here i'm providing detailed explanation to sort out this problem.

Instead of using full quote, if you had posted the screen shot of the
settings you had done,and pointed out the mistake, it would have helped.
Incidentally this thread had about 30,000 hits, and you are the first user
to make a vulgar negative comment and condemn the efforts of @S.India.


You could have checked the other posts/links given in this thread also.

All this works fine for me. But when I try to use WEP password with 64 or 128 bit encryption, it does not work. Can you provide procedure to set up password protection also?Thank you,V Bala
