Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has officially launched Voice-over-WiFi (VoWiFi) service across all telecom circles in India, enabling users to make calls over WiFi for enhanced connectivity, especially in areas with weak mobile signals.

I think some phones disable access to SIM data when airplane mode is enabled. For setting up the IPSEC tunnel needed for VoWifi, USIM ID, MCC, MNC, data are needed, along with working DNS and unblocked ports.

I have spoken to Tamil Nadu customer care and they told wifi calling is available only for ios devices. For Android it won't be available.
