tracert is super solid and in-game ping is super solid as well when I am using Airtel.

i do play six siege and earlier it used to average around 66ms but now its always 100+

So, seeing your tracert to the Rainbow Six Siege Singapore Server it's clear that issue is within the Excitel itself.

Because, the same thing my friend have told me that he is getting high ping on Siege as he uses Excitel. It used to be 65-75ms for me. Now, mine goes as high as 160ms also.

@ngrhd

1. Since when you are facing this issue?

2. Do you have Discord Username so that I could add you. (Only if you don't mind)

Issue Confirmed and it's with the Excitel only and it's not just Delhi, it's for whole India.

I luckily found a Streamer playing R6 and he uses Excitel and he's from Hyderabad.

He is getting 110-120ms ping in Excitel. He used to get 30-40ms.

Which makes 100% sense that something's wrong within the Excitel's backend and not even LCO.

Server name - asia mainland

ipinfo revealed that this ip is located in taiwan on Psychz Networks

edit - i am having trouble in uploading more screenshot. i will update this comment later when it works along with middle east server ip.

As for winmtr test , packet goes from tcore1 chennai to tcore2 chennai and this is where pings rise from 45 ms avg to 293 avg. after that packet goes to singapore and then to los angeles for some reason? after that it comes back to asia. i think which ever bandwidth provider excitel uses, is having issues on their end.

Didn't get you @JB700

@Aakash Malhotra Your issue is not related to Singapore. It's related to some other country specifically Taiwan. (As you've said already in edit).

I think a new thread is good for your issue. (Asia Mainland Server name itself suggests that the Server is Chinese and not Singapore)

All the Singapore Servers in games are known as SEAS or SEA only. (Blizzard calls it Americas because they consider Singapore in American Region for being English Speaking and isolated Asia Servers only to Chinese)

I was talking about @Aakash Malhotra having bad latency to Taiwanese server. Seems like either a problem with TATA Backbone or bad routing by Psychz Networks because I'm getting decent pings to the same server

Okay. That's a totally different topic since we are discussing Singapore Servers here. :) (A new thread can be made for that and I'll be more than happy to throw my results in return to have better comparison from both ISP I have).

I'm meanwhile trying to find out the temp. solution to my problem using the custom setup. So I can move the routing via. different ISP as required.

Because every week there is a new issue with Excitel (which I think can't be denied at all). So I'm thinking to have some custom changes in my EdgeRouter.

@JB700 Hmm, I would go for VPN. But there are some issues. VPNs are not recommended by the applications in good terms use and secondly one specific application is facing a lot of DDOS issues recently. They might jump hard on people using VPN.

(They recently released a legal statement about the issues and going forward with mass banning and the legal route of C and D).
