My bad. I meant the difference between suddenly switching between mobile & desktop. In Tapatalk I sort of "land" on Unread, which shows threads updated off late vs seeing the homepage which is obsolete. And yes, I need to switch to ispy or check "View New content"

The iSpy on vB was much better. The one on IPB is a crude hack that does not work perfectly. And I have no clue if it would be updated to work with IPB4. A similar mod exists for XenForo and is maintained by a group running big forums on the web so well...

Right. I am myself getting confused right now. I end up refreshing thinking that the forum is showing me a cached archive page. But I think it is better for the new users who would get confused by my deals/movies/television posts on the forum homepage. :

lol.. yeah the deals thingy has become kinda spam on a broadband forum... no offence admin. I know it earns you livelihood.

Well I just do not want to give a strange impression to new users landing on the forum. I mean it has been a long time I have posted about broadband on the forum. So, either I pivot and turn this into a general technology related forum or we can just live with that box on the homepage.
Personally, I think broadband is just a part of this forum. Sure, that's what the forum is all about, but it's still a part.
The first page itself makes that clear: India Broadband is just one section of many: Computers and Technology, Online Shopping, General Discussions, Mobile Forum(you can argue 3G here), Television and Radio...
That said, I don't think that the Recent Posts box should show only broadband-related posts, as it is going to be stagnant most of the time, assuming members are posting in all sections. If you take a look at it now, the posts it's showing have hour-long gaps, and the most recent one is 2 hours ago. To the member who's used to referring to that as a steadily updating box of replies, it's a little different.
Of course it's your forum, and this is just my personal opinion.
