hehe. first priority is to get a new replacement and not a refurbished one. i doubt i would get a good offer for the one x now that s3 launch date has been released. so unless there is a real good offer on the table, i am probably stuck with it. a friend told me to put the unit on ebay once i get the replacement... no so sure about dealing with buyers on ebay
hehe. the display on the one x is pretty amazing. and if i indeed find a buyer for the one x, i would be going for Galaxy nexus and nothing else. i have had my fun with the non-nexus devices. even if i stick with this unit, i am probably going to replace it with the next nexus whenever it launches.
well once you sell something on ebay you would have the proof of sale so I don't think any legal complication would arise. if you don't want to get into inter city shipping hassles, just mention that only buyers from NCR should buy it.
actually i have gone through that article. it does talk about the distortion on the screen problem. that is not even my primary concern. my primary concern is about the proximity sensor that emits a dim red light randomly. i have googled around enough and i have not seen any other one x owner report a similar issue. i am not even bothered about the video issue which is a rather common occurring issue and is probably related to the display driver which this fix might fix for all the affected users. glowing sensor is unlikely to be a software problem. and that pushed me to pursue for a replacement unit.
righto. if i find a buyer in gurgaon, i would rather deliver the unit in person. this is the reason why i wanted to find someone on this forum itself. there is some form of mutual trust that exists between the members of the forum. and at least the forum member would know about the history of the phone and that would make me feel better about the sale itself.
i guess the first priority is to get the replacement. once the box is delivered, i would decide whether to put it on ebay or simply open it and start using it
