Idea Edge on LG Optimus One?

My friend has a postpaid connection. He told me that he might have the data plan already active on his connection because he was using a windows mobile device sometime back and he had internet enabled on it. I tried setting the APN as idea_gprs but it did not work. anyone here has any idea on idea postpaid edge plans?

Try the APN as 'internet'. Leave the other settings as it is....

alrighty. any need to call idea customer care and subscribe to any plan? what plans are available to postpaid customers?

If there is a GPRS plan (not a WAP plan) active, then the above APN should work. If a plan is not active, then you'll have to subscribe to a plan. Better idea would be to call the CC and ask for the plans as they are region specific. You may also check their website for various plans available. I think a 0 rental plan would be active by default, not sure though.
