IDFC FIRST Bank

I mean I opened accounts in both banks for 7 percent interest. Yes had it when I opened account there. Now it doesn't. Too early to say anything else. Idfc is brand new branch so staff treats me as vip lol. Though yes is not that bad even these days. Always get great response from staff. Indus has gone to shit.

@Sushubh that's why I am now sticking to Citibank and amex credit card owning to better and instant customer support. I suffered badly with HDFC. Though offers are less comparative but peace of mind.

Uh, yeah? Listening to Citibank loan offers and other offers plus making your way through IVR to finally get a hold of an executive, you call that instant? While the call is chargeable.

Had UPI issue with Yes Bank...... which was never sorted out neither by bank staff nor Customer Care. I forgot UPI pin/ some system glitch...... have to reset the UPI pin...... but they cannot help. Neither can I delete the UPI id. It was made on PhonePe @ybl. It was made without debit card & further I do not want a debit card, so it is stuck... no resolution.

And Yes Bank new Netbanking with Q&A is really stupid...... I mean it is tedious to maintain, if you have multiple accounts. Further their netbanking website does not support Windows Vista, which I primarily use..... HDFC, PNB & Andhra netbanking still support Windows Vista.

yes bank mobile app does not let me access upi section coz of some sim issue. thankfully it works externally. their upi also goes down frequently these days so had to switch to indusind. would probably switch to idfc for all upi payments once i get my debit card.

their new website makes it impossible to use chrome's internal password manager. god knows why these banks force you to note down your passwords and Q&A answers for reference when they are best managed by password managers and OTPs.

again thankfully the mobile app works using fps because i can never remember the apins. right now idfc bank app has stopped working for me complaining about internet speeds even though i am connected to a 300mbps connection which is working fine.

without upi, banking would be so painful these days. and npci is hell bent on fucking whatever works currently by forcing bank's official apps for upi on us by making third party apps chargeable.

The apps which only operate for UPI are going to be limited to 30%. You may use Paytm as the UPI app as it does have and operates with a payments bank licence. So, it won't be limited. But Amazon Pay/ Google Pay/ Whatsapp pay will be limited as they are purely TPAP (third party application providers).

UPI puts a lot of load on their infra i guess. Earlier people were not doing multiple transactions on a daily basis. Now people use it to pay tiny amounts on payment counter. Idea is to make money from UPI to pay for the increased costs I guess. Third party apps basically use the UPI infra for which banks pay while pushing financial services to make money. Banks lose out on this traffic.
