And Dravid has been getting out exactly the same way from last 4 innings.

So Gambhir should still be dropped ??Look we have to give the youngsters a run .. Gambhir is just 30 and has another 5 - 6 yrs of cricket in him .. we need to start phasing out the so called big 3 ie dravid , laxman and sachin .. sachin can score a double hundred here but its time we start thinking ahead .. we need to start building a younger team for test matches else after 2 -3 years there will be a time where we wont even win at home ..

Now that Gambhir has scored some rains, He has cemented his place for next test!

I hate this in the Indian team, You just play for yourself without even thinking to save the match for the country!

Rather i would say that he has cemented his place for rest of the series...

Dont single out Gambhir, right now they all will play for themselves because they know that the test match is lost and this is the best time to get some batting practice and get the average up ..

barring a few aberrations in the past a few years..this has been a perennial problem since the time India started playing cricket.1) Never had decent bowlers. 2) Never had batsmen that can perform on foreign pitches.

What else left? :)
No bowlers, no Batsman. And even fielding was not good...

The problem is not that India does not have good batters or bowlers .. the time India was winning consistently under ganguly abroad was because all these players were playing odis too and were playing cricket throughout the year .. now laxman , sachin and dravid play just in test matches and this makes them rusty since they get no match practice throughout the year ... like after this series I dont even know when does India next play a test so these guys will get no games till then except ipl which is again crap since its at home and on home pitches these guys are kings ...Another thing is that these guys are now in their late 30s .. not that im against age but being Indians and living in the climate which we have and the food we eat we dont have that same stamina and strenght to say a guy living in Aus or NZ .. u see Micheal Hussey for example is still so fit ..

It is how you maintain the fitness... Robin Singh was much fitter at 37-38 than some of the younger guys (28-32 age) playing with him.
