Uthappa and Raina will tear apart Bangla bowling considering their form in IPL. I am expecting 300+ score by India in every match if India is batting first.

Balaji I cannot agree more with you .. Selections of Kedhar Jadhav , Manoj are baffling to say the least ..Vinay Kumar is evergreen in the Indian side .. Plus Pujara seems highly unlikely to play in 2015 WC .. All the 4 names mentioned by you should have been selected .. Really dont know what the selectors were thinking ..
Does this selection give confirmation to end of the road for Yuvraj Singh in ODIs ??

Jadhav had a good year in domestic cricket.
Karnataka won Ranji Trophy and Irani Trophy, hence Vinay and Binny
Tiwary was unceremoniously dumped, his last international score was a ODI century and he bowled leg breaks too in the match. May be they are compensating for that.
Samson is seen as a long term replacement for Dhoni but needs to mature, he will be tried in T20s first, and then graduated in ODis and Tests.
Karun Nair had just one season in domestic cricket, Manan Vohra has hardly played domestic cricket, need to prove there first.
Sandeep Sharma will get a chance soon as India bowlers are discarded soon

Sandeep Sharma maybe good enough with the new ball but the case isn't the same when the ball gets old. It is a problem that every Indian pace bowler is facing ATM. We need more line bowlers than swing. Bhuvneshwar Kumar alone is enough upfront. We had Praveen Kumar picking up wickets during the 2011 England tour but all with only new ball. Ishant Sharma has to be the most inconsistent of the bowlers yet remains in the team. They keep waiting on him every series and he puts up a nightmare of performances. Probably they can try Varun Aaron for the first test instead of Ishant and see what he can deliver.

I did say that Jadhav was a deserved selection.
Just because Karnataka won Ranji and Irani, it doesn't mean Vinay and Binny need to be gifted India spots. Uthappa and Karun Nair are more deserving candidates. Nair, I believe, scored 3 consecutive centuries during this year's Ranji added to his good showing in IPL. Vinay is a tried and failed player and Binny is no international material.
Tiwary's last international score was not a century. But, he did score a century in Chennai. That was in 2011. This is 2014. What's his form now? He was injured for most of the season and was mediocre in IPL. Three years is a long time. For example, Yuvraj Singh was the man of the world cup in 2011.
Sanju is young and he has time but it wouldn't have hurt to have tested him in 3 ODIs against a lesser team like Bangladesh. The same applies to Vohra. They can always go back to domestic cricket. It's not like plenty of spots are available in the first XI. But, why waste time investing in players like Vinay or Binny...

Balaji I agree with you .. Most of the selections are baffling .. I really doubt Indian selectors will anyways tamper with the WC squad too much .. Most of the players who have been playing will be selected and none of these players like Jadhav , Manoj Tiwari etc are going to make it to the WC squad ..
Uthappa is a good selection because hes a opener and has come in good form .. This should keep a show off like Dhawan on his toes .. Even Nohit Sharma should worry .. I liked Rohit Sharma before but now I feel he is taking things for granted .. Even though Yuvraj was the main reason India lost T20 WC finals I feel he should have been given a extended run as he was the key players in 2011 plus experienced and we will need that in Australia .. Even Pujara is no good as hes more of a test player and with nohit in team we cant afford two slow batters ..
Rahane is a opener and I dont trust him in the middle order .. According to me he should swap places with nohit .. Nohit in middle order and rahane opening but again I feel rahane is a better test match player and not someone India can depend on a crisis atleast for now .. Maybe rahane can be groomed after WC .. Raina must always be in Indias scheme of things .. Akshar Patel if given a chance I hope performs ..
India should have selected all the youngsters so we would get an idea where we stand after the WC .. Anyhow I doubt India will win anything major for the next one year .. Be prepared to see us getting mauled in England & Australia and if this baffling selection continues then we arent going to do well at all in the WC either ..
