But that is very limited deployment. Airtel also has VDSL. But it is very limited. I think its less than 5% of connections. MTNL VDSL coverage is even less compared to Airtel.
I have many friends around Delhi but no one has Airtel VDSL coverage. But some friends in CGHS societies have OFC coverage.
Mtnl VDSL is available on demand across Mumbai, I think! My exchange has it, @kickass is using it. A couple of other exchnages have VDSL too, leading me to believe that it is available across the city.
But at 10mbps for VDSL and 8mbps for ADSL, ADSL is the better choice for most people because of the distance factor.
I really hope they upgrade the TriB 999 UL plans to 2mbps. Is there any update on that? These government service providers really need to up their game in order to stay in business.
