Agreed , they couldnt help me setup GPRS on my phone , after 5 weeks they started making weird excuses like "maybe your phone doesnt support GPRS" (it supports 3G wtf ?) maybe you arent getting signals blah blah blah , all it took was deactivating the gprs and then activating it again and it started working . But then there were ridiculous GPRS tariffs . In only two days of moderate usage , Rs 50 were deducted from my account . That was the last straw for me. Disconnected the stupid vodaphone and bought airtel , happy with it till now , havent received a single advt call after registering for DND . GPRS is good too . I dont really care if my service provider charges me 1 paisa or 1.2 paisa per second . All i need is good service and no dropped calls.

getting on to aircel gprs was easy too. the problem was that n1 had too many settings to put in. i just put values in two variables (aircel and aircelgprs) and it started working.

Exactly same with me, Am using an Aircel sim card and sent a msg to 121 and got all the settings in 15 min.. and it is working fine without any issues ! I use Aircel only for GPRS stuffs, I wanted to test GPS in my Nokia 5800 and till now its working great. And paying 98 bucks every month is no issue for me as VF has pathetic data plans!

vodafone need to come up with some good data plans, post paid mobile office plans suck real bad

piyush85... *234*98# is the code for renewing pocket internet on aircel. 98 bucks would be deducted from your balance and your internet would get activated for 30 days. :D

Thanks Sushubh .. But I dont want to use Aircel for long time.. so wont be renewing that.

Vodafone is the worst GPRS service provider, i think these guys are sleeping & dont care about lowering the charges. Waiting for number portability & i will be out of Vodafone network coverage....... Bye Vodafone
