I think he wants to say that.. putting all channels in 1 package and charging it high is not a good move.. they could have made few more packages just like dishtv has .. telugu zone/ tamil / malayam etc.. then the bar on subscriber was have been little less.. b'coz a person who knows telugu should not be made to pay even though he is not watching other language channels..

I remember that Tata Sky said that they dont their subscribers to pay for the channels that they dont watch.. they said this while they were arguing in TDSAT and also after their agreement.. so where is that now.. just greedy fellows.. they think they will earn alot by adding these channels and think they will get back their loss they incurred by eating samosas and goign to tdsat...

again there will be problem jjvj as if i am interested in tamil channels i may want to watch hindi channels which will lead to pay extra for that and vice versa

Yes Jjvj. I think TS thinks that their customers are stupid idiots and would support their price hike. But I doubt that. It is not hard to find how greedy they are. So no one is going to support.

Yes. that is what i am saying too.. if you want both hindi and tamil then you will have to pay 350rs now.. which is not worth as you dont watch telugu/malayalam /..

I dont think the rates are high to get all the channels but there are channels which we dont want and we are paying for it. which is there with dish tv also i hope that things will change from dec as the trai is issuing some guide lines

So Guys Tata Sky has increased their subscription rate from Rs.300/- to Rs.350/- if you need to watch all the Channels. Dish TVs package is much better than Tata Sky.
Tata Sky Package Should have been like this
Tamil / Malayalam
Asianet, Asianet Plus, Asianet News, Surya, Kiran, Kairali, Kairali People, Kairali We, Amrita, Jeevan, Manorama News, IndiaVision, YES (Indiavision), Bhaarath TV, Jai Hind + Tamil Channels (I do not know the list)
Kannada / Telugu
(Somebody please list the number of channels available in Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh)
These should have covered the taste of the South Indians + the rest of the English / Hindi channels which is available on their platform.

The package is designed in someway that a South Indian is forced to take the South Jumbo pack so that he can get all the South Indian Channels (because in the other two packages Surya TV & Kiran TV is missing) and in the other package Asianet and Others are available.

almost all DTH providers will be the same.. greedy.. and Sun DTH is starting with 80rs packages consisting of all sun channels ..
