Yes that's right just before the crucial series they are asking for money to view this channel and that too for complete one year, not even monthly or half yearly.
If we are smarter they are smarter than us. but for football fans they wont mind it as they have football sesaon lined up till next feb or march.
If neo or TS is adopting this model and what about star cricket. We were very fond of that channel during the england series see now they are not providing any international exclusive content except the test matches played between india & england. Even th series between SL & Aus are being telecasted in Star Sports. In this regard we are paying indirectly for star cricket for Rs. 300 pack for the last 3 months. Atleast neo channels has got exclusvie content for test matches. People are dreaming that DD will get the test series live between india & pak but take my words that will not happen.
The Monthly subscription amount for Neo is Rs 12.50 only.so only they are charging 149rs per year.It is a reasonable price.
I belive they have the mrp of that channel around Rs 18.5. Considering this i think we have a good deal on this issue.

It's unbelivable that all sports channels can be viewed at Rs. 12/20 per month while each channel is seperately charging that much amount. But I am happy if it's true :thumbsup:
[Just had doubt because when SUN charged at Rs 50, all subscription with SUN channels was up by Rs 50 both by Tata Sky & DISH]
In the TDSAT court TS has told that it want regionwise packages from sun and they(sun) also agreed to give it in regionwise package and noe TS is forcing to pay for all sun channels which is not good.Same in the case of dishtv also.The problem is increase in package rate for south jumbo in TS and Dish maxi in Dishtv.Both are charging 350 Rs to view all those channels. In the tamil package they should add sun network's tamil channels on dishtv.

i think its affordable... rather than paying a month 20 or 30 rs extra.. give it a one time payment of 199... very good...
It is not about affordability. But why should they force us to by for 1 full year. They should also provide monthly rates. Once the live cricket series is over, there is nothing interesting in the channel for me (I dont watch football). I should not be forced to accept whatever crap they throw at me.

It would be great for users like us but they wont do it.:madness:. Its our fate whether to go for the channel or not. If we want there is no other option we need to opt for 1 yr. But i wonder in the future if TS is indulged in this model then the rate of Rs. 12.45 will be a burden for us. for each and every pack or any new addtional channel:madness:
