tata is not a very reliable company when it comes to internet... make sure you check with their existing customers in your region to see how good they are in your locality.
Hey "CrazySah",
Does TATA pay you to constantly give up such super-duper reviews on them? You are a one-in-a-million customer (and their dream come true )...
... just look at what the others have to say on this forum and elsewhere.
Dude, we are trying to change the system so that YOU, US, WE all have more speed and better services.
My priciple is: "pay Rs X, get Rs X's worth in the minimum!"
You like that too, right?
... nevertheless, I am happy that you are happy! Good for you!!
I am second in ur million ! I am very happy with TATA too . Do you think i am getting paid for saying this too ? Yes there are glitches but there's no point in banging one ISP alone , all isp's are dumb f***'s in india .
Hello All,Just to tell you that my NU plan is continued for October also. Today I got the confirmation mail that my NU plan is renewed and Rs. 99 are deducted from my account. Is there anybody who got similar mail??
yes they are continuing plan for those who are already on it, i think 6 month rule applies to ISP as well.otherwise for others i believe they are giving fake promises
My billing woes continue. Tata claims to have restored my hours but it doesn't seem that way to me when checking my account. It's difficult to be sure because the whole process is so non-transparent; I don't know the period for which they restored my hours for the previous complaint as opposed to this one. They can't give me a number for how much they have restored this time. As usual when dealing with TI I am: :wall::wall::wall: (really the person who designed that smiley must have had Indian ISP's in mind ) On top of the billing problems, the connection keeps breaking down every week or so with 1-2 days downtime on average. I have been with Tata Indicom for around two years and I think I can safely say it's been the worst customer service experience of my life. The really sad thing is that at least here in Bombay I can't be confident that I will receive better service from any other ISP. No BSNL and no Airtel in my area either as far as I know. Perhaps I will have to consider MTNL though I hate their plans. Or wait for Airtel to come to my area; hopefully in the next few months. Oh well; I guess I will just have to accept the fact that despite the hype India is still very much a backward, third-world country and it will probably be 5-10 years before we can expect reliable, affordable broadband.
