Tata Sky DTH: Poor customer care service

Cablewala won't give new movies like "What's your rashee" without adv. & quality print.

Well so many subscribers were waiting for their subsription to end and wants to take off from Tata Sky to cable. I think it might be due to high cost of their packages and ala-carte.
 
it just take one phone call and the cable operator solve it in a day with no charges while dth charges 250/- for each visit by "engineer"
there is still lots of thing that has to be done for DTH IN INDIA for standardization and i think currently this is the beta phase which is bourne by customers for dth companies

We paid for the STB, Dish etc.,. But we don't own them! STB is locked we can't tune other satellites. DTH providers at their will can increase/move channels to some stupid packs and charge us more. TS charges Rs.350 to rectify a fault! We don't own that device then why the hell we need to pay for reparing it?

Those so called active services are really nonsense. Nothing in it.

Bad thing about Cable tv is those rowdy cable operators.
 
ok its official I HAD STARTED THIS THREAD i have replaced my Tata Sky with my ACTTV cable service with it i get 180 + channels .AND I PAY 200 RS ONLY ! . . .:irock::urock::irock::urock::whistle::whistle:
 
Even i changed to Cable TV few months back, to say i am happy would be an understatement, even being from Pune & the Cable guy being ICC network, who charge Rs 350/-, i am happy bcos compared to Rs 480/- of Tata Sky for all the channels, it is less & what really takes the cake is its Exclusive Movie Channels, Three New Hindi Movies, One Old Hindi Movie, One Marathi, THree English of different genrethey have improved over years, but yes it is still on the expensive side compared to other cable services in Indiabut far better then Tata Sky for sure
 
shifting to cable is not an good IDEA for all :@ as it depends on their area CABLE OPERATORS:inodding:

Its really about choices and number of channels one want to view . In my family we do not require any channel which is outside Package 200 of Tata Sky. So that suits me and I save Rs.132 every month :thumbsup: (Rs.332/- thats what ICC asks me to pay for all the channels).
I have been with ICC for more than 3 years and looking at their record they are known to increase their charges any time also they have bad habit of changing channel position which in turn frustrates me :@ .
Basically DTH offers me more flexibility of monthly charges, I don't mind paying @Rs.400/- for a month of vacation/holidays, for rest of year I'm happy with Rs.200 ;).
 
its the south customers who are been affected as we guys are been cheated on many ways like low channel counts,high costs and forced to pay for the channels which am not watching and latest of all these are DISCOVERY tamil feed available only in SOUTH JUMBO PACK :@
 
I subscribed to Tata Sky under the pre-condition that installation would be complete within 24 hours and that I'd get to enjoy the FIFA World Cup. I prepaid by Credit Card as they had a special 3-months free offer. It has been 8 days and I must have made 100 phonecalls to them, 20 just today. Each time, I was told somebody would get back to me either within 15 minutes or 1/2 an hour or even 2 hours but nobody ever did. Even the supervisors refused to come on the line and would convey empty call-back promises through their juniors. Their installation department called a couple of times to pacify me and made promises which they of course never lived up to. Neither would they process a cancellation so I could opt for a different service provider, nor would they honour their commitment. Get this: even my Credit Card company refused to raise a dispute without documentary evidence from the Merchant, categorically stating they had failed to deliver as promised. How am I supposed to get a wrongdoer to admit to his wrongdoing, that too in writing?I am in a bind and urge other intended subscribers to not fall into the same situation. I opted for Tata Sky because of the Tata hallmark. Sadly, their customer service really couldn't get worse. The Sky+ box is an amazing piece of kit but not worth this kind of antagonism.
 
hmmm strange mine was installed in 48hrs but with some few initial hiccups like no free ESS pack... but it was solved soon.but yes i know they're pathetic..i dunno why i got it..
