A friend broke his phone lately it was a Nokia. He need some suggestions for his new phone.Budget is 10K, could be stretched to 14K if the device worth the price.Priorities are:1. Email2. Music3. Camera 4. A decent screen (Open to both Touchscreen & QWERTY)Regarding OS, open to both Symbian^ & Android (Any reputed brand)

so the phone sells with android 2.1 and android 2.2 is not available officially in the indian market... how hard is it to understand this aspect of this phone?

motorola does not treat india nicely when it comes to their phones.

most of their android smartphones are designed for verizon. which are cdma based. so india gets the gsm editions way too late.

i actually like motorola droid series of smartphones. the leaked images of their next droid are pretty nice in fact.

too bad this phone would arrive way too late in india. would be priced way too high.

ah so you want to impress your friends by dropping it on the floor and dipping it in glass full of water? heh. ok. have fun with android 2.1...

Indiaplaza - Galaxy S - 20000....

So it seems different phones are having different prices by different vendors --- things are sort of becoming like US

People are(or will) choosing a few models & going around searching to find the best deal...

even at not so familiar sites

That's 100% true. The idiots think China & US are the only major markets. And Motorola Mobility is headed by an Indian!!

But ignoring Indian Market does not change the fact that Motorola makes great handsets.

They introduced many models very late/overpriced in India. Motorola XT 880 (First Android 3G Dual Sim) was introduced in India at 32K, now dropped to some 16K.

Another beauty of a Dual SIM Android Motorola XT 882 has just been released in China. Mouthwatering specs...

Dual Core Tegra 2 CPU, Dual Sim (CDMA+GSM), Dual Mode, Dual Camera, 4"qHD Display, 8MP Camera, 1920 mAH battery, Android 2.3 Gingerbread
