BSNL 3G on 2G sim ( On Huawei UMG1831 3G Usb Modem) possible??

hi guys!!, i m new to this forum and i hope u guys will help me out. i recently purchased a Huawei 1831 after reading so many good reviews about it. My problem is when i use BSNL 2G sim and make network type WCDMA ONLY or WCDMA Preferred it DOESNT latch to 3G network,it connects to BSNL EDGE everytime. But in my Nokia X6 whwn i select DUAL mode, i can use internet 3G speed with 2G sim(=150-200 KBps). Will i have to get a BSNL 3G sim and respective data plan to make it work on usb modem? *(which is very costly ).
Please help me guys . . . ..

No dont worry I will help you just update your firmware so it gets programming to read 3g network in bsnl. And also I suggest to buy tata docomo its data plan is so low only 48 rs for 2 gb data and speed is best. I love it. I live in surat. Now its on you.

there wil be option in your applicatin to select umts or hsdpa only. select that option so it will latch to 3g only.
