I use dummy MAC
ONT in Bridge (Huawei HG 8321R)
Router in PPPoE (Asus TUF-AX4200)

@sloj -Yes i uploaded the whole file as .tar when upgrading ? should i extract it and upgrade ? cuz there are like 5 files in it .. inlcuding rootfs and ulimage .Also i tried with openwrt router again and i copied wan mac of my ont to open wrt router and now the lan light stay on but in the open wrt router it says connection failed or authentication error..

@!!..PD..!! - Replacing ont method seem good.What mac id should i put after changing the replaced ONT in bridge mode? like the wan mac of the old ont right?The 3 profile method is a long term solution ?

@ddpk-When i check the unbilled usage ..the mac id is not shown in that pdf..The technician havent replace the modem yet .I have been using this ont from 2018

If you buy a new ONT then you can put the wan mac from old ONT in your router.

@luckyph -How are you using a dummy mac? And your router is getting connected in ppoe?

I can reset MAC/Port binding anytime I want and use whatever MAC I want.

I use dummy MAC because I don't use TEC certified device.

@!!..PD..!! -- Okay .After using the openwrt router and copying the wan mac of ont the lan light stays on in my ONT but it shows authentication error or connection failed in the openwrt router now.

My LCO is very kind enough to reset MAC whenever I request.
