@Kaiju404 im using it for my gaming network and its working really good i have a “gaming ip” and i get open nat and i get almost no downtime from railwire and i myself shifted from bsnl. don’t go for bsnl i suffered a lot for 3 years paying premium price to get local cable service.
@unnecessary yes i got to learn about it from this forum. it helps with your nat which my other isp alliance asks me to get a static ip for. currently my setup includes both. with separate vlans for home office gaming and iot . for gaming and iot i use railware rest i use a mix of both
@ragveer That's the reason why I terminated my connection a few months ago, their DNS situation is messed up. Even download speeds were capped at around 10–20 Mbps on a 200 Mbps plan (Upload speed fine tho). But whenever I switched my DNS to Cloudflare, the speeds went back up and everything worked flawlessly. So after 3 years, I left Excitel and switched to Jio AirFiber. The speeds are still pretty low, but they’re manageable.
@unnecessary Not anything specific, I was just using Excitel's default DNS (which might be Cloudflare), but that performs terribly. Only when I switch to Cloudflare WARP DNS (app) can I actually get those 200 Mbps speeds.
