Facing problems while upgrading to 1Gbps plan

Try using TCPOptimizer, might give it a try and see if it fixes it.
 
@havoc to cut a long story short, Airtel couldn't deliver on 1 gig, despite complaints on 121 and to the technician, followed by a final escalation to nodal and 'net' at airtel dot in this morning.

I lost patience and downgraded to 300. They remotely rebooted my router just minutes before I changed the plan. :D I refuse to pay for 1 gig when the max I got was 600 odd on download and 800 and sometimes 900 on upload. It was a total WTF experience. :mad:
 
How this could be possible if they've called you before and said they are ready to provide 1 Gig 🤦

How can airtel screw up like this?
 
Dont ask me man. That's what I explained to them on 121...that it was Airtel's call centre which told me my residential area network was "upgraded" (BS!) and it would now be possible to upgrade to 1 gig..will silly me bit the bait 2 weeks back and it took them 5 days to change the plan and now 10 days after that it's back to 300 Mbps. Well, TBH, it's their loss. As for me I am never going to upgrade again unless they can demonstrate 1 gig.

According to the technician, another customer was getting worse speeds..just 150-200 mbps. I told him sarcastically "As if that makes me feel better". Only "good news" I received from him was that Airtel has restarted giving new connections in my area. Big deal!
